Mariners Shutout Friday Night

The Mariners offense continues
to struggle Friday night being
shutout 3-0.

Luis Castillo started and went
seven innings. He gave up six
hits. The three runs were given
up in the third inning.

The Mariners offense continues
to suffer having only four hits
on the night. Victor Robles  who
became a steady starter before
th e all-star break had two of the
four hits. Josh Rojas and Jorge
Polanco had the others. Polanco's
hit was a double with two outs
but couldn't have a key hit after.

The trading deadline is less than
two weeks. The Mariners need to
get a bat soon or the current hitters
start swinging. The Astros are now percentage points ahead of the
Mariners. They need to win at least
one of the two remaining games in
this series or be in a tough spot.

The Mariners pitching is stilling
doing well giving up only three
runs but unable to score themselves
puts them in an ackward spot.
Picking up a bat as soon as possible
needs to happen. Last year they
missed the playoffs by one game.
The wrong timing could hurt them.

The Mariners have been in the best
spot in years to make a run at the
league championship but a bat in
the middle of the lineup has to
and no excuses. Go team.
