Lowell Sunday night 74-69.
The Huskies admit that they
still have a ways to go to be
where they want to be. With
a group who are getting to
know each other it can take
time although several did
come over with coach Sprinkle.
The Huskies had five players
who scored in double figures.
Three of those didn't start the
game. It will be interesting to
see whether the starters will
stay the same or not.
Great Osobor led the Huskies
with 23 points and 18 rebounds.
After the game Osobor feels he
isn't playing where he should be
yet. His coach said the same.
So we could say he isn't Great yet.
Of course this is what many of
these non-league games are for.
They are still important if you
want to make the NCAA tournament
in March.
Three of the four players who
scored in double figures besides
Osobor each had 12 points. Tyler
Harris who had seven rebounds to
along freshman Zoom Diallo and
starter Tyree Ihenacho. Luis Kortright
had ten points and six rebounds off
the bench.
The Huskies next game will be Friday
Night at home against Alcorn State.
They will have plenty of practice to
get better too.
Gonzaga men will be playing Monday
night at San Diego State. The game
will be on CBS sports TV. The Cougars
play at home against Northern Colorado which will be on ESPNt.
The Cougars stat at 6:30 pm while
Gonzaga starts 30 minutes later.
We wish them both the best.
