Cougars and Zags Both Win

The Washington State Cougars found
themselves in a tight one  until 12:13 
left  in the game. After that it was all
Cougars. 

The Cougars had four players score
in double figures, however Cedric 
Coward had the hot hand scoring
30 on a 12 for 18 from the field.
LeJuan Watts and Ethan Price 
controlled the boards each with
eight rebounds to lead WSU.

The Cougars next game is Thursday
against head coach former team
Eastern Washington. This should be
an interesting game.

Gonzaga went on the road  to San Diego State winning 80-67. The
Zags were consistent scoring
40 points in each half. Neither team
shot well from the field. The Zags 
shot 42.1 percent while San Diego 
State shot 37.7 percent.

The difference in the game was from
the line where the Zags went 27 of 31
while SDS made 13 of 18. The Zags
had three players in double figures.
They were led by Graham Ike with 23 
points and nine rebounds. Ryan
Nembhard had 19 points along with
ten assists. The Zags went with
eight man rotation. Braden Huff 
had ten points off the bench.

Gonzaga's next game will be
Wednesday back at home
against Long Beach State. 
They are 1-3 on the season.
Most recently they lost to Portland Pilots 63-61 at home.
