Preview Washington State at Oregon State

The WSU Cougars will want to rebound
after bring upset on the road last week
at New Mexico in a last second TD by
the Lobos. Now the Cougars will be
on the road again. Though last week's
game was an important game loss
this one will be import too. The Cougars are 12.5 favorites. It won't
be easy since they will hear a hostile
crowd though I am sure there will be
some Cougar fans in the stands too
since it is not a long distance to drive.

This is a big one to since their big
brothers Washington and Oregon so
to speak went to the Big Ten. Now
these two teams are holding the bag
to see where the Pac-12 will be in the
future.

The Cougars are 8-2 while the Beavers
are 4-6. A difference  of the  two
teams is Cougars head coach Jake Dickert stayed while Jonathan Smith
went to Michigan Smith. Trent Bray
defense coordinator for the Beavers took over as head coach. Though the
over.  The Cougars lost some players
the Beavers lost a lot more.  Next season could be a turning for the Cougars and the Pac-12 since they
could lose more players because of
NIL that might be available higher
for top players primarily quarterback
John Mateer. The Cougars though
could have another possible upper coming qb too.

Next year will be interesting since
the two teams will play each other
twice in the season. It will be important for one of the teams have a good season next year before the Pac-12
expanding in 2026. They do need
to add another to the conference.
The success of the Cougars will
help to add this team. It helps to
that Boise State is having a great
year and they are one of the teams
coming to the Pac-12.

Anthony Hankerson  the Beavers
primary runner has 198 carries for
889 yards and 14 touchdowns. The
most on the Cougars.

The tough part of the Beavers has
been at quarterback. Gevani McCoy
has played the most however with
not a lot of success. Also he got
benched against California and
in last game against Air Force left
the game early on. McCoy has only
thrown three touchdowns with six interceptions. Ben Gulbranson has
seen some action as number two
however has missed time as well.

Number three quarterback Gabarri
Johnson has played in five games
however the 28-0 loss to Air Force
was his most playing time.  Last week
he completed 9 of 19 passes for
106 yards  and an interception.
He was sacked four times.

Not Gulbranson will be the qb. So
it is down to McCoy and Johnson.
Hard to know who will start and
the success will it matter. Against
the Cougars they should run the
ball to keep the Cougars off the field.
Hopefully they will the coin toss.
Since none of the qbs have had
success passing it will be best
not to be behind early.

The Cougars have given up almost as
much yardage both in running and
passing on the season as they have done themselves. The thing is they
have scored many more touchdowns
than the opposing team has anyway.
The Cougars have 24 rushing touchdowns to the opposing 18
while passing  its 27 for and 17 against.

The Beavers win the game we
will see a lot of Hankerson on
the ground.

Trent Walker is the Beavers top
receiver with 65 catches for 713
yards and has only two touchdowns.
It is half the Beavers touchdowns
through the air. Hankerson could see
catches out of the backfield as he
is number two in catches at 23
for 110 yard which is six on the
team. Jermaine Terry II tight end
is number five in catches however
number two to Walker in yardage.
Jeremiah Noga is number three
in catches and yardage at wide
receiver however has no touchdowns.

Expact the Cougars to win however
can always have another upset.
Go Cougs!
