to be swept by the Orioles and at the same
time could have swept them.
In some cases the Mariners have played
down to the competition though we
could say the Orioles played up to the
competition.
The Mariners now go New York and
play the Mets. We hope to see the
offense get back on board.
Third game. Orioles 5 Mariners 3
The Orioles were leading 5 to 0
when the rains came again and
delayed for a couple hours.
The big question was why Dylan
Moore was in the lineup in right
field. They were facing a lefty
so decided not to start Dominic
Canzone in right field. They
started Mitch Garver which makes
sense since Cal Raleigh caught
Wednesday night game and this
was a day game. The question
was why those two were both
in the lineup.
When action started again Julio
Rodriguez hit a home run. The
Mariners had other opportunities
to score but wasn't able to bring
in more runs to tie at least.
Logan Evans who started pitched
four innings. In the 4th inning he gave
up three innings after doing well
before then. Carlos Vargas came in
the fifth and surrendered two runs.
I could see the offense come more
alive in the Mets series. If the pitching
can continue well the Mariners can
win the series.
Friday fans can not only watch the
Mariners play they see the Seahawks
too.
