again the first game of a series. The
Mariners beat the Rays when they
played at home by sweeping all
three games.
Final Rays 10 Mariners 2
The Mariners were able to have ten
hits however left runners on base.
The Mariners two runs was on Leo
Rivas first major league home run
in 9th inning. He and Harry Ford
were activated on Monday along
with reliever Luke Jackson who
recently was signed by the M's
to a minor league contract.
Neither Ford or Jackson got into
the game. Rivas pinch hit for
Jorge Polanco.
The Rays scored two runs in the
second followed by three more
in the third on a home run.
Again Luis Castillo had a bad outing
this time going four innings. Again
the Rays scored five more later in
the game. Emerson Hancock
made it into the game as a reliever
for the first time. He didn't fair to
well. We hope next time.
Bryan Woo pitches Tuesday so he
will give the Mariners a chance.
Go M's
