Mariners Win Extra Innings

The Mariners who haven't done
well in extra innings this season
end up beating the St. Louis
Cardinals in 13 innings.

Final Mariners 4 Cardinals 2

Cardinals hit a home run in
the first inning and Dominic
Canzone  hit a sacrifice fly
to tie in the second inning.

Neither team scored again
until the 11th when both
scored a run. In the 13th
Leo Rivas hit a walk off
two-run homer. It was only
his second of the year and
career. The time he has
spent with the Mariners he
has had a good time. He
currently is hitting .278.

Logan Gilbert who started
only went four and two-thirds
innings giving up the one
run and he struck out right.
The Mariners used six relievers.
Only Bazardo, Brash and Munoz
didn't pitch.

Emerson Hancock pitched the
last two innings and recorded
the win. Sounds like he is
getting the idea of relief pitching.
The bullpen did a great job
giving up on my three hits and
one run.

Now the Mariners swept the
Cardinals in three games and
have won five games in a row.
The Mariners now face the
Angels for four games at T-Mobile
Park.  We hope this winning
will continue on. Go M's.
