Mariners Shutout Royals

Luis Castillo pitched a good game for
one of the most important wins on the
season so far.

Final Mariners 2 Royals 0

The Mariners and Astros are tied
again for first place as they head
to face each other beginning Friday.
One of the other will be in first place
heading into the final six games of
the regular season.

Castillo went six innings giving up
three hits, no walks and three strike
outs. Bazardo, Speier and Munoz
finished up. It was Munoz 36th save
of the season.

The Mariners had only five hits. The
first run happened in the second
inning when Polanco  hit a double
scoring Josh Naylor. It seems every
time up we should expect a double.

It was the only run scored until the
8th inning when Victor Robles scored
on a double by JP Crawford.  Dominic Canzone got on base for a shift violation
by the Royals. Something that doesn't
happen often.  Robles pinch ran for
Robles.

The Mariners have nine  games
remaining in the season.   Go M's.
