Danny Sprinkle expected a better
season in his first time at Washington.
It turned out as a disappointment
for all.
The Huskies had a Big Ten conference
record of 4-14 and overall of 13-16.
The guys looked good at times however inconsistent. Great Osobor
who came over with coach Sprinkle
was the Huskies best player. After
a short while the Big Ten teams
realized the best way to stop the
Huskies was to stop Osobor.
Osobor leading scoring 14.5 points a game along with 8.3 rebounds and
3.3 assists a game. Tyler Harris
a sophomore was second in scoring
with 11.9 points a game. He was the
Huskies best shooter among the
starters at 49.6 and number one
in 3s at 48.3. Freshman Zoom Diallo
was the third and last in scoring
in double figures at 11.3. Very good
for a first year player through highly
recruited and the best player coming
of Washington high schoo in the
state. Diallo didn't take a lot of
3s and shot only at 20 percent.
We have to see how he improves
next season.
Mekhi Mason showed some flashes
of brilliance however averaged 9.5
points a game. He was second in
3s at 41.2. He took the second
most 3s on the Huskies. As a Husky
he is a junior. Next year he maybe one
of the leaders along with Harris.
There were some disappointments
among the seniors and grads besides
Osobor. As we know with the transfer
portal we could see some players
move on too.
Coach Sprinkle said going into
next season the Huskies will
have to see an improvement at
every position. The Huskies
are bringing in some recruits
as well where at least three
are international and we will
get into that later. Go Dawgs!
