Cougars Men's Basketball Win

The Washington State Cougars
beat Loyal Marymount in their
first play in WCC  conference
tournament Saturday 94-77.

Both teams were consistent
in each half though the Cougars
was better. Ethan Price and Nate
Calmese each scored 22 points.

Price took the charge in the first
half scoring 20 while Calmese
had 13 in the second half. The
Cougars led through out the
game.  In all the Cougars had
five players in double figures
in scoring.

Rihards Vavers missed the first
half of the season gave the
Cougars some instant offense.
He scored sixteen points while
playing eighteen minutes. Also
he made 4 of 5 in 3s.

The Cougars will play San Francisco
Dins on Sunday in the quarterfinals.
Won't be easy for the Cougars to beat
the Dons losing twice during the
regular season. This will be the Dons
first action in tournament. Go Cougs!

The Washington Huskies will play
the Oregon Ducks at home on
Sunday. The Huskies who have
struggled in the Big Ten won't
have it easy against the the Ducks.
Oregon is getting ready for the
Big Ten tournament while the
Huskies will be playing their last
game of the season. They will not
be in the tournament. The Ducks
are a bubble team for the NCAA
tournament so they want to play
this one and the Big Ten tournament
as they belong in the NCAA
tournament. Go Dawgs!
