the Mariners starters to be ready
for the season.
With George Kirby being sidelined
for at least a couple starts means
Logan Gilbert likely the teams top
dog will have to be ready when the
season opens.
Logan only went one and two-thirds
innings giving up a couple runs.
The first thing is to get his pitch
count up first and then the innings.
The Mariners lost Saturday 9-8.
A couple of the relievers who may
be in the bullpen gave up some
significant runs. Though like
Gilbert be ready when the whistle
blows.
Both Julio and Randy Arozarena
each had doubles in the game
which is a good sign. Polanco
had a home run besides playing
third base. Catcher Harry Ford
had a home run too.
Coke Young didn't get a hit
however he played second
base once again. Still not sure
he will be on the opening day
roster however if he is we will
likely see him and Ryan Bliss
platoon.
The Mariners play the Rockies
Sunday afternoon.
