Seahawks Tuesday

The Seattle Mariners have a day
off on Tuesday so this is about
the Seahawks.

There is always a lot of talk about
the Seahawks and the NFL during
the offseason. I don't pay a lot
of attention since there is college
basketball and hockey still going
on. Also the Mariners getting ready
for their season. The Sounders
starting there's.

This past week the gm and coach
were at the combine to see players
they may draft and sign. The offensive
line is likely the most important
position as the offense is looking
to run the ball more successfully.
This doesn't mean they won't
be passing the ball.

The Seahawks are looking most
at the center and guard positions.
It doesn't mean they won't draft
a tackle though. If the tackle
is the best offensive lineman
available at the time they will
draft him.

Abraham Lucas the right tackle
has been hurt a lot so someone
else in his spot would be good.
They could move him into the
right guard spot to keep him
healthy.

The Seahawks looked at the
wide receivers with interest
as well. Not sure whether Tyler
Lockett will be back or not.
His cap hit is high so they
would have to rechange his
contract if he were to stay.
Now that Pete Carroll is the
head coach of the Raiders
we could see Lockett and
a number of Seahawks  go
to the Raiders. A lot depends
whether Lockett will take
a new contract or he still
wants to play if it isn't Seattle.

There is a lot of talk about
Geno Smith. The Seahawks
want him bsvk though some
of tge media and fans don't
which is understandable.

There is a chance the Seahawks
will draft a quarterback and have
them sit behind Geno for a year.
Next year's draft is supposed to
have a better class so Seahawks
could wait a year.

We will let you know any moves
the Seahawks make over this
offseason.  Let you know about
Pete Carroll and the Raiders to
though at a smaller scale. Go Hawks!
