Home Runs Help Out Mariners Again

Wednesday afternoon game was
questionable who would win but
the Mariners pulled it out like
they have often all season.

Julio Rodriguez got things going
in the first inning with a three run
homer. He is starting to hit home
runs more frequently.

Cal Raleigh again had a home run.
The question is when he won't
have one. It happened in the 6th
to tie after the White Sox tied
and took the lead in the fourth.
Logan Evans looked good
besides giving up three home
runs.He was able to go six
innings.

Again the bullpen did a good job
giving up two hits and a walk overgs three innings and an unearned run.
Again Munoz recorded the save.

Leody Taveras hit a two-run homer
to seal the win in the eighth inning.
It was his first home run since
coming to the Mariners. Taveras
who had struggled at the plate
recently after getting off to a
good start had two hits on the
day.

The Mariners now go Houston
to take on the Astros for four
games. The Astros lost Wednesday
to the Rays. Both them and the
Rangers are three and a half games
behind the Mariners. Playing a
four game series it would be nice
if the Mariners can split the series.

George Kirby is  going to start his
first game of the season on Thursday.
He will be followed by Emerson Hancock, Bryan Woo and Luis
Castillo. Let's see how the M's do.
