against the A's in eleven innings
7-6.
The A's scored first with a run in
the first and second innings. The
Mariners had a rally scoring four
runs in the third. Bryce Miller couldn't hold the lead giving up two runs in
the fourth for a tie. Miller has
struggled in the last few of his starts.
He left after the fourth inning having
thrown 94 pitches.
The A's scored a run in the seventh
and Mariners responded in the 8th
inning. Both teams scored a run
in the 10th. Mariners didn't in the
top of the 11th. Seattle manager
Dan Wilson decided to walk two
batters intentionally in the 11th
however the A's were able to get
a single to win the game.
Dan Wilson took the blame for
intentional walks backfiring.
Ben Williamson continues
playing good defense at third
and he had a couple more hits
in the game. Rowdy Tellez is
starting to hit as he had two
hits in the game raising his
average to .211. JP Crawford
continues to do well having
two hits and two walks at the
top of the lineup.
Emerson Hancock has done
well recently starts Tuesday
night's game. We hope it
continues as the team has
responded in second games
of a series after losing the
first one.
With the loss the Mariners are
one game ahead of the A's.
George Kirby had his first rehab
assignment on Sunday and
responded well going three
innings and giving up just one
hit. He is expected to have
two more. Logan Gilbert is
doing well in recovery too.
Not sure whether he will
take a rehab assignment or
not. We should see both of
them back near the end of
May as long as no set backs.
Go M's.
