Mariners Win Again

Saturday evening the Mariners
beat the Rangers in Texas 2-1.
This another series win for the
Mariners.

JP Crawford led the game off
with a home run. The Rangers
tied it in the fourth when Corey
Seager tied it. He came off the
injured list.

The Mariners had plenty of hits
with ten total however trouble
bringing more home.

The Rangers started a lefty
so Jorge Polanco didn't
start the however got a double
leading off the ninth which
included hustle to get in.
Polanco pinch hit for first
baseman Solano. Ben Williamson
hit a grounder to second base
to move  Polanco to third.
Rowdy Tellez pinch hit for
Leo Rivas who had a good game
at the plate including his first
double of the season. I expect
Tellez was up for his power
however hit to a single to center
to win the game.

Luis Castillo had another quality
start going six innings giving up
the one run on four hits. It will
be important for noe that Castillo
continues well since Kirby and
Gilbert are on the injured list.
Kirby though is going to make
a rehab assignment on Sunday.
He may make three of them
before being activated. Gilbert
might be back at the end of
May.

Matt Brash  was activated before
the game. Troy Taylor  was sent
to Tacoma to get things more
straighten out. We hope to see
him again before May is over.
Matt came in the seventh inning.
He gave up a hit however struck
out a Ranger too. I  am  sure  will
watch out how many times they
use him.

Gabe Speier  pitched the eighth
followed by Andre Munoz  which
is a good receipe. This his 12th
save without giving up a run on
the season.

Logan Evans will make his second
start for the Mariners on Sunday
to see if they can sweep  it.

The Mariners  are now 20-12. Only
the Detroit  Tigers have more wins
then the Mariners  in the  American
League with 21. The Yankees lost
to Rays Saturday  have 19. The
Mariners have a three game lead
over the Astros and A's  in the
division.  Go M's
