How 2025 former Mariners Are Doing Now

Ss we know the ones best known
Eugenio Suarez is with the Cincinnati
Reds who he played for before being
traded to the Mariners the first. Eugenio
though hurt right now and on injured list.
The same goes for Jorge Polanco with
the Mets.  Harry Ford traded to the
Nationals for Jose Ferrer is currently
at triple A and hasn't gotten off to a
good start like he had in Tacoma year.

The Mariners had 31 pitchers last
year so many that are not on the
roster this year we wouldn't remember
some of them.  The second Luis Castillo
is one to remember. After the Mariners
he went to the Orioles. He now is pitching
in Mexico.

Trent Thirton who had some success
in the Mariners bullpen before being
hurt last year and missing the rest of
the season. He was signed by the  Chicago Cubs after the Mariners didn't tender
him a contract. He has only pitched in
three games so far all in May and hasn't
given up a run yet.

Collin Snider who had a very good season
for the Mariners in 2024 where he began
coming in games early digressed in 2025
and sent to Tacoma is in the minor leagues
this year for the Chicago Cubs. I hope he
makes his way back to the majors.

Caleb Ferguson who the Mariners picked
up at the trading deline last year as a second
lefty to Gabe Speier signed with the Cincinnati Reds is currently on rehab assignment. They
hope hin to be a good lefty out of the bullpen
for them.

Gregory Santos who the Mariners acquired
before the 2024 season  however the two years he spent primarily on the injured list.
The Mariners were hoping him to match up with Matt Brash in the late innings which
now has gone to Eduardo Bazardo. He is
now in the San Francisco Giants organization.
He briefly was up this season. Hopefully
he can stay healthy and be the reliever
the Mariners thought he would be.

Tayler Saucedo who was with the Seattle
Mariners and was a local who grew up
being a Mariners fan had success with
the Mariners his first two years as a lefty
out of the bullpen. Last year he didn't
have the same success and spent time
in Tacoma. He was a fan favorite so
people will always remember him. He
signed a free agent contract with the
Angels during the off season.  He has
only pitched in one game for the Angels
so we see how he does  in the future.
We hope that some point we will see
him pitch against the Mariners.

Now look at the Seattle Mariners infield.
Dylan Moore  who spent just over six and
a half seasons with the Mariners primarily
as a utility player. Though his bat for the
Mariners for the most part wasn't great
his fielding and versatility playing every
infield and outfield. With the injuries the
Mariners had and not a lot of depth in
the outfield he was valuable in that way.
His second season he had his best season
hitting hose rr never lasted where he could
be an everyday player especially at second
base where he tried to be a starter. In
2024 he got an award with gold glove
as the utility player.  In 2025 he played
88 games for the Mariners before he was
released and played the rest of the season
with the Rangers.  He had a good start
hitting in 2025 his bat went silent after
hitting well the first month. His defense
wasn't as good either. This season he
began with the Phillies however he was
out on waivers after not getting any hits
on a team that is struggling in its self.
He is now in their triple A team after
going through waivers. We to hope he
finds his way back to the majors.

Ben Williamson who came up early
in the season as a rookie in 2025
played exceptional defense at third
base before the Mariners traded for
Eugenio Suarez at the trading deadline.
His offense wasn't as much as the M's
wanted as far as power goes.  In
January 2026 Ben was traded in the
three team swap to acquire Brendan
Donovan from the Cardinals.  Ben
went to Tampa Bay where he is playing
more second than third however still
playing good defense.  I am sure it
would be nice to have his defense at
third acquiring Donovan was  a good
thing. The Mariners number one prospect
Colt Emerson will likely be the Mariners
future third baseman though could be
at short depending the future of JP
Crawford who is in the final year of
his contract.  Donovan maybe the M's
super utility player in the long run.

Rowdy Tellez  was the left handed hitting
platoon in 2025 at first base and dh.
Injuries to Like Raley had him play more
at first base.  Rowdy had 11 home runs
for the Mariners but his batting average
was disappointing. After waivers he
played for the Rangers. Although his
batting average was higher his home
runs dropped off. He currently playing
for the Atlanta Braves triple A team.

Donovan Solano was the right handed
platoon startingsst season for the M's.
For several seasons the Mariners have had
trouble signing a right handed bat for
success.  This year Rob Refsynder has
been a disappointment. The Mariners
do hope he does turn things around.
This experience shows the Mariners
shouldn't go in this direction again.
Solano at this time isn't playing in the
major leagues.

Leody Taveras  who the  Mariners
acquired from the Texas Rangers
last season because of injuries
to Victor Robles and Luke Raley
played 28 games batting .198
before being sent to triple A Tacoma.
This year he is playing for the Orioles.
Though he has only two home runs
in 36 games he is hitting .248.

Those are some of the players who played time for the 2025 season.  Go M's.
