Look At the Tacoma Rainers

The Seattle Mariners have Thursday off
so decided to see how the Tacoma Rainers
have done.

The Rainers are in third place with 23-24
record on the season. In the last ten
games they are 6-4 which is a good sign
especially with the call up of Colt Emerson
on May 17.

Speaking of Colt Emerson he is playing
now at shortstop as JP Crawford has
missed a couple games with injury.
JP said that he is willing to play some
third base too. So we will see.

The Rainier's currently on the road playing
the Bees in Salt Lake City. On Wednesday
the Rainiers won 13-1.

Victor Robles on rehab assignment had
two hits while driving in a run.  Brennen
Davis who the Mariners signed as a
minor league free agent before spring
training is hitting is hitting .280. He
had three hits in the game. The Mariners
having trouble against lefties a lot of
fans are calling for him to be called up.
He has nine home runs so far on the
season.  This especially true how Rob
Refsynder is hitting very low 100s.
Most likely we will see Robles soon
possibly on this road trip.

Brock Rodden who is playing shortstop
drove in five runs in this game.  He is
hitting .267  with seven home runs.
If the Mariners need a utility player
he could be called up however Brendan Donovan will be the primary utility player
when he returns. He might play some
third base as well as giving Cole Young
a day off at second base along with
outfield and dh. We will see if he goes
on a rehab assignment before returning
to the Mariners. Go Rainiers.

On the Mariners next day off we will see
how the double A Arkansas Travelers are
doing. Last years top pick Kade Anderson
last week had his first hick up on the
season last week. He should be pitching
on Friday. We will look at fellow top prospect
pitcher Ryan Sloan too. Go Travelers.
