Washington Huskies Football Heading Into 2026

All depending on the poll the Washington Huskies are in the top 25 or just outside
of it.

The Huskies have a young team. They
have 25 freshman and 14 transfers.
Last year they had a good impact by
freshman so we will see how they do
in their second year.

Of the transfer the one with the most
to have an impact is running back
Jayden Limar. Whether he starts
or is number two should see good
action. Another is Christian Moss
wide receiver and he missed the spring
training. Until the season starts we
will look at other players who could
make a difference.

The Washington State Cougars had
to do a major overhaul when new
head coach Kirby Moore onboard.
They have 9 offensive and 17 defensive
players.

The Cougars are expected to be one of
the top teams in the new Pac-12 with
Oregon State and Boise State who
joins in. The Broncos have always been
a good team in the Mountain West.

The Cougars have always been a good team
throwing the ball and hope to continue
the history in that regard. It is getting the
running game going and having a good
defense. How the Cougars season goes
will have to come down to the defense.

The Cougars have three quarterbacks
competing for the job so we will see
who comes out the winner initially.

Both schools men's basketball lost
players in the transfer portal. The
Huskies have done well replacing
guys so we see how they do. The
Cougars will likely have more trouble
doing so. For one they will have to
compete with state rival Gonzaga
for players in the same conference
as well as the Huskies. Depending
on the players the Cougars are likely
number three.

We will see how all three go in basketball
as well as Huskies and Cougars in
football. Go teams.
