who are having another good
season so far with a new coach
and pretty much new players.
On Saturday afternoon the Cougars
beat Boise State on the road
74-69.
The Cougars had a big lead in the
first half 44-24 so it looked like
they would win easily however
the second half was almost polar
opposites with Boise State going
45-30. Though got close and win
got into doubt they couldn't pull
it off.
The Cougars went most of the
way with all five starters each
playing over 30 points and three
in double figures. LeJuan Watts
had a double double leading in
points and rebounds along with
assists. He had 20 points, 11
rebounds and six assists. Dane
Erikstrup had 14 points and Isaiah
Watts with 12 points.
The Cougars shot 50.9 percent
from the field however both teams
not do well when it came to shooting
3 point shots being under 30 percent
from.the field. Ndith team did well
shooting from the free throw line.
The Cougars were 55.6 percent
the Broncos were exactly at 60.
The Cougars won't play again
until next Saturday at home
against Missouri State. They
are 5-4 heading to Pullman.
The Washington Huskies struggled the is week first losing on the road at
UCLA. Saturday afternoon they lost
to USC 85-61 on their home court.
Now the Huskies will have to work
to play against Big Ten foes.
The Huskies had only two players
in double figures. Most of the starting
five didn't have a good day. Mekhi
Mason led the Huskies off the bench
with 15 points while Zoom Diallo
had 10.
The Huskies next game will be this
Tuesday against Eastern Washington
