Arizona Cardinals again this
Sunday 30-18 on the road.
The Seahawks are now 8-5
and still in first place. The Rams
will be 7-6 while the Cardinals
and 49ers 6-7. The Seahawks
have now won four games in
a row.
The Seahawks had their best
running game of the season
which they have tried all season.
Zach Charbonnet started in place
of Kenneth Walker III who was
out with injury. Zach ran 22 carries
for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
Both were in the first half the second
went for 51 years near the end of
the second quarter. It put the
Seahawks up 24-10.
The Cardinals started the scoring
with a touchdown at 11:52 left in
the first quarter. The Seahawks
had 17 unanswered points in the
quarter with field goal and two touchdowns.
Geno Smith ended up throwing 30
balls with 22 caught for 233 yards
and one touchdown. The defense
was able to intercept Kyle Murray
twice. The Cardinals offense had
more yardage in the air primarily
in the fourth quarter when trying
to catch up and the Seahawks
playing preventive defense. The
Cardinals tried to get within six
points late in the 4th quarter by
kicking a field goal however
missed it by hitting the goal post
to help the Seahawks control
the clock and Jason Myers kicked
a field goal with 1:56 left in the
game.
Kenny McIntosh was able to get
some carries as the number two running back seven that is for 36
yards and had two catches. Zach
Charbonnet led with seven catches
for 59 yards. As far as wide receivers
Jaxon Smith-Njigba and five
including a touchdown. DK Metcalf
was next with four for 49 yards.
Tyler Lockett had no catches.
The Seahawks play home next
Sunday Night Football on NBC
against the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers are 9-4 and in third
place of the NFC North. It will be
tough for them to win the division
however likely make the playoffs
by beating out the NFC West teams
that don't win the division. This why
important for the Seahawks to continue to win games. This one
coming up is almost a must win
for the Seahawks. The following
week the Seahawks are at home
again against the Minnesota
Vikings which will be another
tough opponent. The Seahawks
will need to split those two
games to have the best shot
to make the playoffs at least.
Go Hawks!
The Washington Huskies and
the Washington State Cougars
now know who they will play
in bowl games. The Cougars
will play Syracuse in the Holiday
Bowl game on Friday December
27 while Huskies on December
31 in the Sun Bowl against Louisville. Both games should be exciting
and it will be tough matches for
both Washington schools.
