Preview Washington Huskies at USC Trojans

The Huskies have a 3-1 record however
haven't played up to expectations in any
of the four games.  The offense has been
the major problem. The offensive line
has been criticized in both running game
and passing protection. Head coach Jedd
Fisch has  been criticized for his play calling
as well being the offensive coordinator too.
Many are calling him to get an offensive
coordinator or having someone play calling.

The USC Trojans are favored by 10.5 points.
Not a good sign being on the road too.
The Huskies will have to play much better
ball to have a chance too win.

The Trojans are 4-1 after losing to the Oregon
Ducks last Saturday. The Trojans are averaging
164.4 yards on the ground. The Huskies aren't
as good against the run as expected but giving
up 3.2 yards per carry. The biggest issue is
giving up a lot of yardage on short downs.
The passing game the Trojans are high at
325 yards a game and the Huskies are averaging
almost half that amount against the pass.
The Huskies are expecting a couple guys
back on the defensive side and center Laden
Hatchett is expected back after missing the
first fourth games with a broken wrist.  This
could help the Huskies offensive woes.

The Trojans are averaging around 40 points
a game while giving up 26.4 points a game.
They are 5th in the nation converting on
3rd down at 56.4 percent so this where the
Huskies need to help themselves.

Trojans quarterback Jayden Maiava has
completed 87 of 115 passes for 1499
yards with 14 touchdownd and 1 interception.
This means the defensive line and edge
rushers will need to get to Maiava and
get him to rush the ball.  Safety Alex
McLaughlin will need to get at least one
turnover.

It will be important for the Huskies to
upset the Trojans to stay in the face
even this early of the season. Go Dawgs.
