however the Seattle Mariners decided
go trade one of their top prospects
to the Washington Nationals for
left handed reliever Jose Ferrer.
Ferrer is mentioned as a middle reliever
however he did have 11 saves despite
4.48 era. This could give the Mariners
another lefty late in the game besides
Gabe Speier.
The question now is who will be the
backup catcher. Will they bring back
free agent Mitch Garver or go after
someone else. Stay tuned for what
