was Seattle U 70 Washington 66
This was a close game most of the
way. Seattle led somewhat comfortable
the last half of the second half. This
was the second year in a row beating
the Huskies after losing 19 in a row.
Seattle U. is now 10-2 upsetting Stanford
as well during this non-league schedule.
They are now in the West Coast Conference.
They play Washington State on December
30 followed by Gonzaga on January 2 then
St. Mary's so these three games will tell
us how good they are.
The Huskies had three players scoring
in double figures led by Desmond Claude
with 24 points followed by Zoom Diallo with 17 and Hannes Steinbach with 15. The
Huskies played nine players and had only
two points from the bench. A good reason
they lost. Steinbach led with 12 rebounds.
Seattle U had three players score in
double figures as well they were led
by center Austin Maurer with 19 points
and had 13 points from the bench.
Both teams shot below 40 percent
and especially bad behind the 3pt.
line. Most of shots were made in
side. That was the difference as
Seattle made four more points
inside than the Huskies.
The Huskies next game will be at
home against San Diego. The Big
Ten Conference will be tough to
go through. Every team has a
winning record except Rutgers
who are 5-6. Nebraska and Michigan
are really tough and undefeated.
Go Dawgs!
