which isn't a big surprise since it is
now the 50th time in a row. This will
be the last season for the Zags in the
West Coast Conference as they join
the new Pac-12 to form nine teams
in men's basketball. They will join
Washington State and Oregon State
along with six other teams mostly
from the Mountain West. It may take
for it to become a power conference
however with the transfer portal could
come faster than it would be otherwise.
The Zags won 96-56. They got off to
a 9-0 run then from the halfway mark
of the first they went on a other run
18-0 and went on from there. They were
able to rest their starters. They had
five players who scored in double digits.
Tyrone Grant- Foster who came off the
bench with 18 points in 21 minutes.
Braden Smith and freshman Davis Fogle
from Antacordes Washington had 15
points just over the same amount of
minutes. Smith started and Fogle who
hasn't played a lot came off the bench.
Graham Ike had 13 points and ten rebounds
and Braden Huff had just ten points.
The Zags shot over 50 percent in the game
while scoring 50 points inside. Also shot
one of their best nights outside the 3 point
line making 10 of 22.
The Zags will play Tuesday at San Diego
before facing Seattle University who has
joined the conference at home. San Diego
beat Pacific today 66-54. Seattle University
who had a good non-league schedule
including beating the Washington Huskies
recently lost to the San Francisco Dons
today 67-59. They play the Cougars on
Tuesday.
This should be a good conference
this year.
