Preview Washington Huskies vs Boise State

The Washington Huskies take on Boise
State in the LA Bowl this coming Saturday
at 11:30 am. The Huskies have a record
of 4-2 against the Broncos. The last time
they played was on September 2,2023
the year the Huskies went to the National
Championship. Final Huskies 59 BSU 19.

Boise State had a 9-4 record in their
last season in the Mountain West
Conference and go to the new Pac-12
Conference next year.

The Huskies are 8.5 favorite however
the  Broncos could upset them. This
should be an exciting game to watch.
Maddux Madsen a junior is the  Broncos
starting quarterback. He averaged 228.3
yards a game. He completed 59 percent
of his passes. Maddux had 18 touchdowns
thrown and seven interceptions.  The
Broncos backup Max Cutforth  got in
some playing time and completed and
threw just under half as many passes.
He had only three touchdowns thrown
though he played in every game.  Both quarterbacks are not known for running
the ball. Madsen ran the ball 5.4 times a game however only averaged 1.5 yards per
carry. Cutforth had a negative average.
The Huskies should take advantage of
lack of yardage on both of them.

The Broncos have a good running game.
It will put the Huskies good defense against
the run to a test. Dylan Riley is their top
running back having 1111 yards on the season. He is a averaging 5.90 yards a
carry and has ten touchdowns on the
ground. The Broncos two backup running backs Sire Gaines and Malik Sherrod
have averaged at least five yards a carry
too. Haines has eight touchdowns while
Sherrod has four.  They have all caught
touchdowns in the air too.

The Broncos number one wide receiver
is senior Latrell  Caples with 46 catches
and three touchdowns. Ben Ford was
number two in receptions when he was
injured in game seven and missed the
rest of the season. He still led the Broncos
with five touchdowns. Senior tight end
Matt Lauter was second with 32 catches
though he is more known for his blocking.
Sophomore Matt Wagner who will take
over as number one tight end was six
in catches with 23 and one touchdown.
Chris Marshall and Chase Plenry are
the number two and three receivers.

After the game let you know what
 Broncos defensive players had their
best games. The defensive of the
Broncos will have to do better against
the run to have a chance to win. The
Huskies will have to stop the Broncos
running game as they have against
most of the teams this season. The
Broncos will likely need to cause turnovers
to win.  Go Dawgs.
