In the second round the New England
Patriots draft Huskies wide receiver
Ja'Lynn Polk as the fifth pick. Polk who was a transfer to the Huskies was listed as their third wide receiver going into 2023 season.
Injury to Jalen McMillan against Michigan
State in game three made Polk more
valuable and he took advantage of it.
Near the end of the second round right
tackle Roger Rosengarten was drafted
by the Baltimore Ravens. He is expected
to start for them.
Now we start onto the third round. It will
be a little bit of time before before the Seahawks pick since it will be the 81st overall. This will be only pick Friday
unless they trade up or down. On
Saturday they have two fourth round
picks, two sixth and one in the seventh.
Don't expect these be the same. Will
the Seahawks draft an offensive lineman
in the third round? We will see.
The Seahawks did draft Christian
Haynes a guard from Connecticut
the other Huskies. He is expected
to start on the offensive line.
With the 10th pick in the third round
Bralen Trice was taken. He is listed
as defensive end however could play
edge rusher if he is fast enough.
Near the end of Friday night the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted
another Husky. With the 28 pick
of the third round Jalen McMillan
was drafted. The wide receiver
would have been drafted higher
if he hadn't been hurt and missed
much of the season.
Saturday will be the 4th through
the seventh round. The Seahawks
will have five picks going into it.
See if they add picks or not. Also
we will see who the Seahawks
will sign as college free agents as
well. It will be interesting how many
Huskies will be drafted on Saturday.
Also if any Cougar is drafted or
sign as a free agent.
