Mariners Lose Third In A Row

The Mariners had opportunity to win however let the opportunity slide.
It would have been a come from
behind win though.

For the third game in a row it was
more on the pitching. Logan Gilbert
was only able to go five and two-thirds
innings. He gave up four runs on
three home runs.

Final Milwaukee 6 Mariners 5

The Mariners scored three runs in
the top of the sixth inning by the
top of the order. Haniger, Garver
and Raleigh each had hits to drive
in the three runs. This tied the game
before Gilbert gave up his home run
before existing the game.

The bottom of the order this time
did the job by scoring two runs to
tie. The Mariners had a single by
both Dylan Moore pinch hitting
followed by Samad Taylor who
had his first hit as a Mariner. He
pinch hit earlier for Canzone.
Urias hit a double which went
over the fence so only Dylan
scored. Taylor would have scored
otherwise. Julio hit a grounder
to shortstop scoring Taylor for
the tie.

Things looked good for the Mariners
since Munoz came in the bottom of
the ninth and look like possibility
the game would go into extra innings.
The unfortunate thing is Munoz
walked four batters in a row for the
Brewers to win. Munoz had only
walked two in a row before.

Bryce Miller starts Saturday so we
hope he can turn the fortune of the
pitching around and this would
continue the hitting to start going.

The Mariners are now 3-5 and in
third place two and a half behind
the Rangers and one and  a half
behind the surprised Angels.

The Red Sox who split with the
Mariners in the opening series
are now 6-2 and tied with the
Yankees in the American League
East. The Detroit Tigers lead the
central 6-1 followed by Cleveland
6-2.

In the National League East the
Atlanta Braves lead with 4-2
record. Only team in their division
with s winning record. Miami
Marlins are 0-8 at the bottom
so makes the Mariners look a
lot better.

The Brewers who the Mariners
are playing leads the NL central
with 5-1 record. Maybe the
Mariners can change by winning
the last two of the series.
Interesting though the Brewers
have scored the least runs in the
central.

Not surprising the LA Dodgers
lead the NL West at 7-3. Arizona
is second at 4-4.
