Luis Castillo Struggles Again

Luis Castillo continues to have trouble
giving up runs. At least this time
only two in an inning.  He went five
innings giving up four runs.

Castillo gave up a run in the second,
two in the third and one again in the
fourth. He gave up nine hits in the
process. We hope this is his last hickup
for a little while.

The Mariners brought up two relievers
after Sundays game. Both pitched in
the game to save the rest of the bullpen.

Troy Miller one of the two went two innings
after Castillo. He didn't give up a hit and
struck out two. It would be nice if he is
another good find. The other was Brett
de Gaus who pitched the bottom of
the 8th. He did give up a run on two
hits. They both were recalled from
triple A Tacoma.

Collins Snider who was hit in the
left knee Sunday went on the 15
day injured list. Cody Bolton another
reliever was put on the same injured
list. Not sure what his issue was.

Ty Adcock though at Tacoma was
designated for assignment. The
Mariners needed a spot for either
Milker or de Gaus. Though I like
Adcock  the Mariners didn't have
many choices . I hope he passes
through waivers.

Ty Frances was back from paternity
leave after his wife had a son. I am
sure Ty looks forward to his return
to Seattle. Ty had the most productive
game having three hits on the day
though Mariners couldn't take advantage
in the 5-2 loss.

The Mariners two runs were homers solo home runs by JP Crawford in the 8th and
Cal Raleigh in the 9th.

In all the Mariners had seven hits. Dominic
Canzone had two hits so he is starting to
heat up besides Ty's three hits and the
two homers.

George Kirby starts Tuesday. We hope
to see a rebound from him and a
Mariners win. Go team!
