Sunday 3-2.
Mariners got another great quality
start out of Logan Gilbert however it
wasn't enough. He went six and
one-third innings before tiring.Gilbert
only gave up four hits which included
a home run to Christian Walker in
the second inning. Only walked one
batter while striking out nine.
Josh Rojas again hit a home run
leading off the first inning. In the
third inning shortstop Leo Rivas
in his major league debut hit a triple.
He ended up scoring on single by
Julio Rodriguez. The Mariners loaded
the bases with no outs however were
unable to score anymore runs. The
Mariners may have won right there.
The Diamondbacks tied in the seventh.
In the a ball hit in direction of Mitch
Haniger who had pinch hit in the 7th
scored in the 8th. The Mariners were
not able to get anyone else on base
for 20 straight appearances.
The Mariners now take on the Atlanta
Braves at home beginning on Monday
in a three game series. Bryce Miller
will start. We hope he will respond
with a good pitching performance.
He will be followed by Luis Castillo
Tuesday evening and Emerson
Hancock Wednesday afternoon.
The Mariners will go to Houston
to face the Astros next weekend.
Go Mariners!
