Mariners Lose Starter Gilbert and Seahawks Picks

The Seattle Mariners started a
three game series against the
Miami Marlins Friday Night.
Like the recent road trip they
lost the first game of the series
8-4.

Dylan Moore hit a home run  in
the second for a 1-0 lead. Logan
Gilbert was looking good not
giving up a hit or a walk while
striking out three in three innings.
He had to leave with injury to
his forearm. Not sure how long
he will be out. We hope George
Kirby returns soon.

In the fifth inning Dylan Moore
had an error and the Marlins
scored six unearned runs. This
cost the Mariners the game.
Casey Lawrence who was
brought up from Tacoma
came in for Gilbert. Been
a starter most of his career
went five innings. This saved
the Mariners bullpen despite
the loss.

The Seahawks second pick
in the second round was tight
end Elijah Arroyo from Miami.
He is considered a highbred
so we could see him play
fullback as well. In the 3rd
round they drafted quarterback
Jalen Milroe out of Alabama.
The first quarterback the
Seahawks have drafted since
they drafted Russell Wilson
in the third round too. The
Seahawks will look to develop
Milroe. This means the Seahawks
will carry three on the roster.

Saturday will be rounds four
through seven. They have
on in the fouth, two in the
fifth and two in the seventh.
Wouldn't surprise me if
the Seahawks acquire  a
sixth round pick. Go Hawks!
