Washington State Cougars Spring Football

The Washington State Cougars had
their spring football game so camp
is done.

According to new head coach
Jimmy Rogers everyone is
healthy.

The two top quarterbacks Zevi
Eckhaus and Jaxon Potter each
had touchdown passes thrown.
According to coach Rogers there
is still competition for the starting
job. With a new coach there is
always a clean slate as well

The outstanding player in the
camp was Leon Neal Jr. wide
receiver. He is not slated on any
depth charts at this time. I am
sure we will see him before
the season starts. He caught
one pass last season for the
Cougars.

The Cougars have experience
team coming into the season.
Last year the Cougars started
off well however last three
games they lost. Before the
bowl game they lost a lot
of players.

In my opinion the transfer
portal and the moving of
coaches  should happen
after the bowl season is
over. For one thing it isn't
fair to the alumni and fans
to lose players and not see
the same team. If they want
the bowl games could be
moved up.

Speaking of the transfer portal
it opens up again beginning
on Wednesday. It runs for
nine days to enter. This allows
players who were dissatisfied
with spring football camp to
enter. It allows the teams to
find players for positions they
need to add depth at.

The Cougars do have experience
on their side so might not have
a lot of movement. Thr players
commented how much they
liked the new coaching staff.
Go Cougs!
