Mariners Win Double-Header

Saturday the Seattle Mariners beat the
Oakland A's in the first game of the
double-header 5-1. Oakland scored
first in the fourth inning then Seattle
tied in the sixth inning.

The Mariners broke it open with four
runs in the eight inning. Included a
two-run homer by Kyle Seager. JP
Crawford much of September had
three hits on the day driving in two
runs as well. Braden Bishop struggling
in his limited major league experience
went 2 for 2  Since the game was a
doubleheader meant eighth inning was
extra innings.

Justus Sheffield in his last outing went
five innings giving up five hits, and one
run.

In the second game the Mariners blew
the game opening in the third inning
scoring eight after Oakland score a
run in the first inning Robbie Grossman
hit his first of two home runs in the game.

The next three innings the Mariners got
solo home runs by Kyle Seager, Evan
White and Tim Lopes.
Final Seattle 12 Oakland 3

The win in the first game gave the
Tampa Bay Rays the Top Seed

Marco Gonzales goes Sunday in
the final game of the season. The
worst Mariners can do is split
the series. Not too bad at all.

The Angels are playing the Dodgers.
They win the Mariners and Angels
will be tired for third going into the
last game of season. Go Dodgers.

Justin Dunn went five inning just
like Sheffield; however, gave up
three runs on six hits.
