Mariners Lose In 10th

Yusei Kikuchi pitched well in his final
outing, however, the Seattle Mariners
ended up losing on walk-off homer run
in the 10th inning.

We see this Kikuchi next season he will
have a pretty good season. He pitched
six innings giving up four hits, did walk
three batters, however, struck of five.
Kikuchi had good commands of his pitches.

The bullpen did a good job for the most
part, however, the game went into extra
innings.

The Mariners scored a run in the top of
the 10th with Dee Strange-Gordon at
third there was a passed ball where he
was able to score.

The A's were able to tie the game with
two outs win a runner themselves scored
on a hit from third. It looked like the game
would go into the 11th, however, rookie
reliever Joe Gerber gave up a two -run
home run to outfielder Mark Canha.

Gerber for the most part has had a good
rookie season going ten straight games
without giving up a run. This was his
second straight game in giving up runs.
I do see Gerber being in the Mariners
bullpen when the season starts in April.

Saturday the Mariners play a double
header with Justus Sheffield and Justin
Dunn going. Sunday Marco Gonzales
will end the season.

The Mariner rotation looks good going
into next season. They will may add
another pitcher to the rotation whether
former number one pick Logan Gilbert
making his major league debut  or the
they go out to sign a free agent starter.

I expect we will see all the position
players in the double-header on
Saturday. Go M's.
