A look at JP

Today we look at JP Crawford the
Seattle Mariners shortstop. Last
season like most of the position
players he had a terrible season
hitting.

I heard some fans give the excuse
that he was injured. The truth he
wasn't hitting before injury.

This season he will first start batting
ninth. It seems it is where he best at.
Last year he hit .202  with a .304
on base percentage. The lowest
since being a Mariner.

His best seasons have been every
other season with the Mariners.
They are 2021 and 2023 so this
could be it. Last year he had his
worst. Not only his average and
on base percentage he had his
lowest amount of walks.

JP Crawford has two years left
on his contract. Depending on
the top prospects the Mariners
have he could be traded before
the 2026 season. Colt Emerson
the Mariners top prospect could
be ready by 2027 if not before
then. He is considered one of
the top prospects in all of baseball
though he is only 19.

JP will be a free agent in 2027.
How he does and the Mariners
even more so will answer it.

The Mariners could move JP
to second base however Cole
Young might have the spot
this season or 2027. By 2027
the Mariners will have a younger
infield.

Anyway JP we look forward to
a bounce back year.

Next up we will look at Andre
Munoz. Since the pitchers
and catchers have reported
and Thursday is first workouts
we will see who might be the
buzz in camp. Though some
of the position players are in
camp  Monday is their reporting
date.
