back to their winning ways.
They beat Loyola Marymount
73-53.
The score does totally tell
the whole story. The Zags had
an early lead however Loyola
went on a 9-0 run to end the
first half behind by three points.
The second half Loyola kept
it close however the Zags went
on a 22-2 run to end the game.
It might have been a different
gsme if Loyola hadn't let the
Zags off to do so.
Khalif Battle led tgr Zags with
24 points. He had 16 points
in the second half. It was unusual
for Battle because he went 4 of
13 in the field. He made 15 of 16
from the foul line.
Ryan Nembhard contributed
15 points while having nine
assists. Braden Huff had 14
points off the bench.
The Zags are now 17-7 on the
season. They play Pacific on
Saturday. The Zags have
seven games remaining in the
regular season. They likely
make NCAA tournament however
how well will they do is the question.
The Zags still have to play San
Francisco Dons twice and St.
Mary's again. Thursday night
the Dons beat St. Mary's 65-64
to end their conference undefeated record. St. Mary's lead while the
Dons and Zags follow. Depending
on the two games against the
Dons will see where they will
be seeded in the NCAA tournament.
The Washington State Cougars
are again in a tough game against
Oregon State on the road. We let
yiu know it ends. Go Cougs.
