Mariners Reliever Brandyn Garcia

Garcia is a left handed reliever
who spent last season at single-A
Everett and double A Arkansas.

He is one of the talks of spring
training. He began his career
as a starter however was switched
to reliever. Seattle Mariners general
manager Justin Hollander said that
at some point in the season he could be on the team. Someday may go back to being a starter.

Hollander says that Garcia's out pitch
is his change up. As a starter being
in the bullpen Garcia would be used
as a long reliever though go one inning
if needed. If he doesn't start the season as a Mariner I would expect to begin the season in Arkansas.

Garcia is only 24 years old. This will be
his third season in the Mariners system. He has risen fast as a 11th
round selection in the/2023 draft
out of Texas A&M. Look forward to see
him pitch in spring training. Go M's.
