Randy Arozarena left fielder

The Seattle Mariners acquired
Randy Arozarena right before
the trading deadline last July.

2024 was his least effective
offense in his four full seasons
in the majors. Jerry Dipoto likely
say though the Mariners didn't
make a significant trade during
this offseason acquiring Arozarena
would add to the team's offense.

Three of his four years in the majors
Randy hit 20 home runs in each besides 2023 he had 23. His first
season in 2021 he had his best
average at .274. His averages
followed at .263 in 2022, . 254 in 2023
and .219 in 2024. His average with
the Mariners was .231. Outside of Julio, Robles and Raley he had the best
average though not impressive.
Changing teams especially one he
didn't want to leave makes sense.
Outside of 2023 he had over 30
doubles on the season. He has a
good on base percentage too.
Randy has had at least 20 stolen
bases per season too. If the M's
play more small I see he will be
a good asset.

There is dome question about his
defence. We could see him at dh
sometimes too. This most likely
be when Luke Raley is in the outfield.

Randy likely bat 4th though I like to
see him hit behind Julio if he is
hitting well. He will be an added
plus if he can hit at least .254 as
he did in 2023.

The Mariners haven't had any
good left fielders since Raul
Ibanez was out there so any
good success be a plus.

Spring training begins this
Wednesday with the pitchers
and catchers reporting. First
full team workout will be next
Tuesday the 18th. The first
preseason game is on February
21.

The Cubs may sign Justin Turner
since he isn't looking like he will
sign up with Mariners.

Next up on the Mariners we will
look at Logan Gilbert and George
Kirby.  Go M's.
