WSU Cougars Beat San Diego

The Washington State Cougars
ended a three game losing streak
to three of the four top teams
in the West Coast conference.
On Saturday they play the final
game of the regular season at
Pepperdine.

The Cougars have a 7-10 record
in the WCC. They have had some
good times as well as bad ones.
One of the bad ones was losing to
Pacific twice and they are near
the bottom of the conference.

Not sure where we expected them
to be at the beginning of the
conference they did have to
face St.Mary's, Gonzaga, San
Francisco and Santa Clara.
Never easy against those four
schools.

The Cougars won 93-86. The score is
a bit deceiving as the  Cougars  were
up by 28 points at halftime. The
Cougars biggest trouble was they had
30 turnovers which led to 30 points
for San Diego. What helped the Cougars
they shot 61 percent from the field.

The Cougars had four starters
score in double figures. Dane
Erikstrup led with 23 points and
Ethan Price had 17. Both played
their last game in Pullman. Good
way to end it. LuJuan Watts led
with 1O rebounds. All five starters
averaged in double figures.

Coming up well be Mariner who are
playing an evening game.
