Oakland A's 4 to 2. The Mariners
scored both runs in the 5th inning.
Brian Anderson the Mariners signed
early in spring training since Luis
Urias was hurt played first base in
this game hit a home run to tie
at 1-1. Sam Haggerty hit a double
and Dylan Moore drove him in when
he came up. Unfortunately Oakland
scored two in the bottom of the
fifth to take the lead again. They
scored the final run on a double play.
Bryce Miller who started for the M's
went three and two-thirds innings.
He gave up four hits, one run, two
walks and struck out six. Certainly
getting ready for the season.
Cal Raleigh started at catcher and
walked. Harry Ford came in later.
Luke Raley played in right field
while Dominic Canzone was in left.
It is possible when both players are
in the outfield is how it works. Raley
may be in left when Haniger is
playing. Not sure however that could
happen. Most likely Raley will play
all three outfield positions as well
as first. Won't see him in center often
however if Julio needs a day off he
likely will be there.
Again Luis Urias was at third base so
the Mariners are hoping he will be
ready for opening day.
Speaking of opening day it was
announced that reliever Gregory
Santos will begin on the injured
list with Matt Brash. Two relievers
will need to start instead on the
opening roster. Andre Munoz will
be the closer while recently signed
reliever will be the setup man initially.
We could see him or someone else
in the role depending on how much
Munoz will have to pitch early on.
Closer to opening day we will have
a better look at the bullpen. It is
nice the Mariners have guys who
can be used in bullpen. Go M's.
