per cent from the field. They made
eight more shots than Kansas while
taking 12 less shots. Doesn't happen
often. They made 11 of 15 from the
foul line while Kansas made 5 of 9.
Three pointers not a big deal since
Kansas made one more than the
Zags and took seven more shits.
Kansas had more offensive rebounds
but the Zags had four more in total.
The Zags had five players score in
double figures led by Anton Watson
with 21 points. Kansas had only three
and two had ten points. Still have to
wait until Sunday to find out who
the Zags face next Friday.
WSU Cougars lost to Iowa State
Saturday afternoon 67-56.
The game was tied 27-27 at the
end of the first half. The Cougars
couldn't sustain it. Cougars head
coach Kyle Smith said after the
game the lost because of their
defense. Giving up 67 points
doesn't look as bad as scoring 56.
The Cougars only had two players
in double figures. Jaylen Wells
hsd 20 points while Myles Rice
had 18. Iowa State had four players
in double figures. Thanks Cougs
for having a good year. Look forward
to next season in the West Coast
Conference.
Tge Seattle Mariners won beating
the White Sox 8-2. George Kirby
went six innings giving up three
hits, walking run, striking out
seven and surrendering one run.
The MRiners made two moves
sending pitcher Emerson Hancock
and infield/outfield Samad Taylor.
The Mariners had one big inning
where they scored six of the eight
runs in the third inning. Included
a home run by Dominic Canzone
who may start in the outfield.
Ty France had two hits and having
a good spring as well batting .333.
Tomorrow the Mariners play the
Cubs to end spring training in
Arizona. Go M's.
