Mariners End Arizona With A Tie

The Mariners played Chicago Cubs
Sunday for the final game of the
Cactus League. The game ended
in a tie 9-9, however each team
had the lead that went back and
forth.

Logan Gilbert started having a so
so start however it is spring training.
He threw too many pitches and
went four and two-thirds innings.
He gave up two runs both on solo
homers. It is OK to give up homers
but not with runners on base. Also
when the game is not on the line.
He gave up four hits, two walks
and seven strike outs. We will see
if ready for the Red Sox next weekend.

The Mariners had seven starting
position players to start. Mitch
Haniger had a double and a home
run and scored three times. Luke
Raley who was struggling most
of training camp is starting to heat
up. Had two hits including a triple
and driving in three runs

The Mariners haven't come down
on a sure decision for the last two
spots in the bullpen. Those on the
bobble will have to perform in
San Diego to make the opening
roster.. Go M's.
