JP Crawford looks like he is ready
to go having two hits and scoring
two runs. He had a hit in the first
inning and driven in by Mitch Garver
who went 3 for 3 for the day. His
second at bat he had a hit driving
in a run and scored on Julio's first
home run of the game.
I had to check up lineup cards for Ty
France. He played Tuesday, Wednesday
and Friday. Again Luke Raley started
at first base on Saturday. Let him be
ready in case Ty needs to rest or play
another position or two during the
season.
Luis Castillo started on Saturday. He
had a better outing this time. Luis
went four innings gave up two hits didn't walk a batter and struck out four.
Scott Servais hasn't named his opening
game starter however likely will be
Castillo.
Gabe Speier is giving up runs in camp
we hope doesn't mean a lot. He came
in after Castillo giving up four hits and
three runs. We hope when the season
starts so does Gabe.
Ty Adcock who pitched the seventh
inning gave up two runs on two hits
including a home run. Last year he
came up from double A and pitched
good being in 12 games. The likelihood
Ty will start the season again in the
minors however if the Mariners need
him he will be ready to go.
George Kirby will start on Sunday
against the Giants. He missed the
last round of the rotation. No news
came out it is possible he was working
on something since he didn't pitch
well in his last outing. I expect we
should be OK.with it.
