Mariners Play In San Diego

The Seattle Mariners  are finished in
Arizona  and are ready  to  start the
season on Thursday at home against
the Boston Red Sox.

The Mariners  are in San  Diego  now
to take on the Padres in two exhibition
games. The first one Monday night
with Bryce Miller  on the mound and
Tuesday  afternoon  with Bryan Woo
starting.

Both teams will likely  play their starting
position  players  most of the way through.
The Mariners  have their position  players
set already in fact it was pretty  set at
the beginning  of camp.  We may see
some changes during the season most
likely  by injury. I think the Mariners
have a better bench than last year.

The Mariners  are expected  to be without
Matt Brash and Gregory  Santos to begin
the season.  Two pitchers in camp not
expected  at the beginning  will make it.
We should know by Wednesday at the
latest. Other teams are trimming rosters
to so we could see a trade or someone
on the waiver wire make it.  Go M's.
