Cougars and Zags Make The Big Dance

As expected both Washington State

and Gonzaga men's basketball teams

made the NCAA tournament also

known as March Madness for all

the upsets.

The Cougars are the #7 seed in the 

eastern region taking on Drake the

#10 out of Des Moines Iowa. The

game will be played in Omaha 

Nebraska Thursday night at 7pm

Pacific time. The Cougars have

to fly while Drake it is a two hour

bus ride to Omaha. I am sure they

have a good size fan base to show

up.

Drake is much like the Cougars a

very good defensive team so this

could be a low scoring game. Drake

is the number one team in defensive

rebounding. The Cougars will have to

make shots count. Often upsets in

the first round are the #10 seed over

# 7 so the Cougars will be in a fight

and be sure to be able to move onto

the next round. This is the first time

in 16 years the Cougars are in the

tournament. Go Cougs!

Gonzaga known as the Zags playing

in the tournament has been a regular

thing for some time. Gonzaga is the number five seed in the Midwest region.

They will be taking on #12 McNeese State 

also on Thursday. There game will be

on right before the Cougars. The game

maybe finishing up when the Cougars 

start. The game is in Salt Lake Utah

starting 4:29 Salt Lake time.

For all of us who are not familiar with

McNeese State the university is located

in Lake Charles Louisiana so a good 

distance to travel to Salt Lake City.
