Seahawks OTA

This week the Seahawks will have
Ztheir first  offseason training for
the next season. They don't wear
pads or helmets.

This ota and the ones ahead will
be different then what has happened
the last 14 years under Pete Carroll.
The Seahawks had several offensive
defensive coordinators however they
ran pretty much the same thing though
terminology may have changed a little.

Now not only do the rookies the
veterans will have to learn a new
systems and terminology under
new head coach Mike Macdonald.

Ryan Grubb is the new offensive
coordinator. The Seahawks will
likely run his offensive. It will be
different than what he had with
the Washington. They will implement
what Macdonald would like to see.
The running game will be more seen
then in the past. Though Pete Carroll
wanted to have running game come
first often they went back to the pass
because of failure.

The Seahawks will be looking at more
physical play of the offensive line to
push back the opposing defense. It
doesn't mean we won't see the passing
game especially with three talented
receivers. Not sure how the tight ends
will work in however could be similar
to what happened at Washington. With
Punishing running game should open
for the passing game to.

On defense it will be I am sure similar
to what Coach Macdonald had at
Baltimore as defensive coordinator.
This coming year will depend on
the players the Seahawks have with
their strengths and weaknesses. Most
likely take time to see Macdonald's
defense to fully develop.

It is hard to know how many of the
rookies will make the ball club
and those who won't. We could see
losing some veterans who don't fit
into the system especially on defense.

The media won't be in on the ota
however whatever we may hear we
will pass it along. Go Hawks!
