Some Mariners Updates Majors and Minors

The Mariners had some news on
Wednesday both on the major
league and minor league rosters.

As mentioned already Dominic
Canzone was activated Wednesday
to the major league team after
a rehab assignment. The Mariners
planned to have JP Crawford added
soon as well. Wednesday's game
for the Rainiers he was hit in his
hands and left the game. It seems
like not serious however could join
the Mariners a few days later than
planned.

The activation of Canzone meant
Sam Haggerty was sent back to
Tacoma. This means when Crawford
returns we will see Dylan Moore
back in the outfield against lefties
more likely.

In the minor leagues the Mariners
promoted a few players. Third baseman Ben Williamson #15 prospect at Everett was promotedto double A Arkansas after being thebest hitter on the team. Caleb Cali
having a good season at Modesto was promoted to Everett taking the slot of Williamson and playing third base.

Outfielder Curtis Washington Jr. who
was at the rookie team in Arizona was
assigned to Modesto. Center fielder
Victor Labrada was activated off the
injured list at Everett.

Top prospect Cole Young is still hitting
at .244. Harry Ford number two prospect
got off to a poor start is now at .244.
In his last ten games he is hitting .278.
Number three prospect Colt Emerson
who missed some time in April is hitting
.275 on the season. One positive as well
Colt is walking more than striking out.
He has a .433 on base percentage which
is outstanding.

#4 prospect outfielder Lazaro Montes
confines to hit well at Modesto. His average the last ten games is .353.
Wouldn't be surprised he will.be promoted
to Everett soon. #5 prospect shortstop
Felnin Celesten playing at Arizona team
in his first experience playing in the
United States as a professional  is
hitting .452 in his first two games with
two home runs and nine RBIs. The 18
year old last year signed with the Mariners
as an international player was considered
one of the top shortstops signed in the
last ten years. He certainly showing why
so far. He continues and a spot opens
at Modesto he will be there.

We will update how the rest of the top
prospects are doing over the season
as well. Go guys!
