Logan Gilbert will see if he can do his
thing so the Mariners will be able
go 2-2 in the series on Thursday
morning Seattle time.
George Kirby wasn't able to go as
long as long as they had wanted.
Whether the knee didn't help or
not Kirby went five innings allowing
four runs on three home runs to
the Twins. Kirby Snead who took
Tayler Saucedo's spot in the bullpen
came in the sixth inning and had a
perfect inning. Snead was signed
by the Mariners during the offseason.
He to is a lefty hander and out of options
so be interesting when Saucedo who
was injured going into first base in
Tuesday's game. How long Saucedo
is out we will see.
The Mariners activated right handed
reliever off the 15 day injured list as well.
He didn't pitch in this game however
we might see him in Thursday's game.
Emerson Hancock was optioned to
Tacoma as well and Matt Brash was
moved to the 60 day injured list.
The Mariners will likely add Bryan Woo
onto the roster when the time comes
up for the fifth starters. The Mariners
will have a three game series against
the Oakland A's beginning on Friday.
Bryce Miller will start Friday while Woo could go Saturday unless the Mariners decide to pitch Luis Castillo. If so either
one will pitch Sunday.
Mitch Garver hit a solo home run to get
the Mariners on board in the 4th inning.
He is starting to hit better. He had one
other hit in the game too. Cal Raleigh
hit a double in the 7th I ning to drive
in Julio Rodriguez who had singled
and Mitch Haniger who walked. The
Mariners had ten hits total however
could take advantage scoring more
runs. Go M's.
